Sunday, March 30th, Peter and I went to the Midwest Gaming Classic. We enjoyed the usual (pinball), and played a bunch of arcades (mostly, various Gauntlet machines). (Local newspaper article, here. This is the first year the Journal-Sentinel covered the event, IIRC.) We also made some purchases, including a duplicate purchase of The Simpson's fifth season. Respond if you would like it for $20 -- slow shipment included for free! :} I took a couple photos, but none with Peter or myself in them. I'll get around to posting those eventually...
Saturday, April 5th, Peter/
hellsop, Peter's wonderful aunt Cynthia, and myself were accompanied by Michaela/
sharkskitten and John/
caveshark to the Met's live HD broadcast of La Boheme. (Last year, Peter, Cynthia, and I went to see Puccini's Il Trittico.) It was interesting to see the changes from last year's live broadcast. I had a fantastic time both years, but this year had the added bonus of watching the live broadcast hold up the actual preformance due to a booched interview with the conductor that overlapped with his call to the pit. Hehe.
After the performance, Kendra/
kendra_manycats and Keith-of-no-LJ joined us for dinner at Yokoso. Cynthia went home after dinner, and the rest of us went back to the duplex to enjoy the first evening of tolerable temperatures with drinks and conversation. :D
I would type more, but I need sleep...
Peace,
geek. ^_^
